"Sheep dotted" Swiss mountain

Once went on a biketour in the mountains. We crossed through a long valley. The ascents were full of sheeps, but for the first sight, they seemed to be only dots on the mountains. The most charming part of this landscape is that there are bells on the sheeps and they trinkle all the time. Our trip was animated constantly by music made by sheeps. It was so lovely!

Good morning Everyone!

This week I have been quite busy, so I couldn't find too much time to be on the internet. I have had a lot of work and luckily, after 2 weeks of rain, we can finally enjoy the sun!
My broken big toe doesn't need fixing anymore, so I can start to do sports. Of course, in a moderate way at first. In the last few days, I went for some short runs and I did a 50 km bike tour around a lake close to our place. I feel so much better that I am allowed to move! My body is full of endorphine again!

Warm weather means freedom for me. I like the possibility of spending the nights and the evenings outside! I enjoy the outdoor places! No matter if it is in the wild nature or an outdoor coffeeshop in the city. Fortunately, this week I had both! And today, I am going to spend the evening on a small island on the river in order to enjoy a barbecue with friends.

Apparently, the Swiss summer is finally starting and I am looking forward to it!
My main projet for this season is to continue to discover the Swiss Alps. Here is photo from last year:

Little red ships on a surging blondish sea

I took this picture today on my way home from work. I saw these red poppies delighting the field, and I had to stop to take a picture!

Switzerland - Spain 1:0

Yesterday, Switzerland won unexpectedly a football match. It was not just an ordinary football match! It was at the World Championships and on the top of that against the famous Spanish team! The people in the downtown went totally crazy! I never saw Zürich like this before! People danced and celebrated together on the street!

Even if I was in a hurry to my very expensive german lesson, I prefered to be late a little bit. I wanted to share their happiness for a while!

Remembering may in Switzerland

The thing that I love about living in a medium-sized city is that I can choose if I want to be in the hectic center or if I want to enjoy some rural peace. I can have both in 20 minutes, everything is relative close to our place.

I work outside of the city, but it is just 15 minutes by car. The way to work was decorated during one month by beautiful yellow flowers. Seeing this gorgeous radiant color each morning made all my mornings happier!

Bern - Boxing Night

My friend is a huge fun of box, and one of his birthday presents was a pair of tickets to the European Championships. It took place in Bern yesterday. It was my first box event. We saw really exciting fights! Before I was a bit afraid of being bored, but it turned out to be an interesting event. The Swiss audience was so enthusiastic. Maybe the negative side is the result of this, because the judges voted always for the Swiss boxer. I almost cried for a Georgian boxer who was much better then its Swiss adversary but the judges voted for the Swiss. It is too bed to see injustice happen, to see the victims suffering face and being unable to change it or help. No matter if it is a sport event or whatever...

Me and Switzerland II. - Languages

I use French for my work but I make a huge effort to learn German. I couldn't speak a world of German when I arrived. Learning the language of the local people is very important for me to be able to integrate better.
To make the whole thing more difficult, the spoken language in Zürich is Switzergerman what is completly different from the official German. Unfortunately, Switzergerman is not a written language, so it is impossible to learn it from a book. On the top of that, it is not easy to start to learn after arriving at home late after work. So, the situation is not easy and it takes a lot of time to learn a language, but I think it worth the energy because this way I can learn more people, discover more and more deeply the culture of all of the German speaking area.

Me and Switzerland I. - Why here?

I started to work in Zürich last year. I came here because of several reasons:
- I love the mountains and the beautiful landscape.
- I can learn a new language and culture.
- I was seeking for some adventure, for something new.
- I can travel more because I earn more money then I would do in Hungary (really bed economy last years), so I have the possibility to see more of the World. Maybe this way I can become a bit wiser...

After starting work here, I found everything what I expected and even more. Not only the landscape is beautiful, but the people are very kind, too. I was told that the Swiss were cold tempered kinds but it was not true. Generally, they are very friendly, helpful and cheerful.

Fortunately, the spring has come, so the flowers make colorful contrast to the grey sky. Even if it is constantly raining, I really enjoy to drive around because the plants are so gorgeous and lush. It makes also my way to work much happier. Each day I wonder how beautiful country Switzerland is.
